This year I have started to write a new novel, which provides a mixture of personal experiences and fictional notes; it is ironic and true to the core and proved to be of real relief to me, delving into complex emotional landscapes and social issues.

Academic and Educational Releases

This year also brings some important academic publications that contribute to ongoing debates and research across disciplines, in my cases in the field of history, writing, and culture, focusing on historical novels set in Sicily. It will be published in English by an American publishing house.

An anthology of Sicilian women writers is on the way: it will contain bios and works of authors from the 1200s to the 1900s. Something I have been thinking about for a long time and that will become a reality soon thanks to the support of my Italian publisher and of a paid fellowship through the Ragusa Foundation. The work will be in Italian.
